Abano Terme is considered to be one of the most famous thermal spas in Italy. Abano Terme and Montegrotto are the ancient spa areas of Europe! Miraculous thermal waters and excellent location – only 1 hour drive from the airport of Venice, near Padua, Verona and other cities – these features are making Abano Terme very attractive for tourists from all over the world.
In translation from Greek, Abano Termen means “the one which takes the pain”.
Thermal water sources are classified as containing mineral bromo-iodide salt.
Its chemical composition and temperature (70°C-87°C) play a crucial role in the so-called “mature” mud that has a strong therapeutic action.
Each of the hotel proposed by Larus Viaggio has its own vat from where the “mature” mud is used in future for wraps, masks and so on. The very same thermal water used for inhalations, which are recommended for the treatment of all diseases of the respiratory tract – more and more people are suffering from respiratory tracks diseases because of environmental degradation. Cooled to 34-36 °C water fills the thermal pool; hot thermal water is used to heat the hotels in Abano that supporting perfect ecological conditions in the city.
