DAY 1

“Ancient Moscow”. Independent accommodation in the “Izmailovo” hotel.
12:00 at noon – meeting with the guide. Walking tour of the historic city center – Red and Manezhnaya Squares, Alexander Garden, Iberian Gate, zero kilometer, a walk through the Ilinka and Barbarian (Varvarka) streets. Visiting the Museum of Archeology in Gostiny Dvor. Leisure time. Overnight at the hotel. “Ancient Moscow” excursion. A visit to the Museum of Archeology.

DAY 2

The history and architecture of Moscow. Breakfast (buffet). Meeting with the guide. Today’s walking tour is dedicated to the architecture of XVI-XVII centuries during the reign of the Romanov dynasty. DAY 3

Day of excursions in a double-decker bus. Breakfast (buffet). Excursion day on a double-decker bus to the historical center of the city: Bolshoi Theatre, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Manege etc. The tour provides 18 stops where it is possible to get off at any stop and take the next bus for unlimited number of times. Excursion on a double-decker bus through the historic center of the city

DAY 4

Mosfilm. Breakfast (buffet). Tour of the Moscow metro – an unusual walk through the underground city, a story about the history of subway and its technical uniqueness. Many metro stations are real palaces with marble columns, sculptures, mosaics, stained glass and interesting lighting design. Leisure time. Excursion to the “Mosfilm” (entrance fees – RUB 150/80), one of the largest and most advanced movie studios not only in Russia but also in Europe. Here are collected the various elements of the scenery, costumes and weapons. Modern sound recording studios, film sets, make-up workshops, vintage cars – the famous “Volga” from the film “Beware of the Car” and “The Diamond Arm” as well as “Mercedes-Benz” of 1938 from “Seventeen Moments of Spring”. Excursion through Moscow metro Entrance fees to Mosfilm

DAY 5

Excursion to Kremlin. Breakfast (buffet). Excursion to the Kremlin – a symbol of the Russian statehood, one of the largest architectural ensembles of the world, the richest treasury of historical relics, monuments and art. Getting acquainted with the palace ensemble, cathedrals, Tsar Cannon and Tsar Bell. Leisure time. Excursion to Kremlin

DAY 6

Tour of the Arbat Street. Breakfast (buffet). Bus tour of Moscow Red Square, the central streets of the city, a viewing platform on Sparrow Hills, the building of the University, Poklonnaya Hill, Bagration Bridge etc. Walking tour of the Arbat Street. Arbat is a visiting card of Moscow, the first pedestrian street in the city, a real “souvenir prospectus”, a meeting with oeuvres of Pushkin, Bunin, Pasternak and Okudzhava. Leisure time. Bus tour around Moscow. Walking tour of the Arbat

DAY 7

Tretyakov Gallery. Breakfast (buffet). Hotel check-out. Meeting with the guide in the hotel lobby. Walking tour of Zamoskvorechye. Zamoskvorechye is a place on the right bank of the Moscow River, opposite to the Kremlin and Kitai-Gorod. This historical part of the city was known as “Zarechye” in XIV century. One of the few surviving parts of the old Moscow; its history is closely linked with the names of major Russian patrons – Tretyakov, Morozov, Bakhrushins and Ryabushinskys.
A visit to the Tretyakov Gallery (entrance fees – RUB 250/100) exhibiting the works by painters of XII-XVII centuries: Theophanes the Greek, Andrei Rublev, Dionysius, K.P. Bryullov, I.N. Kramskoy, I.E. Repin, V.I. Surikov, I.I. Shishkin, V.M. Vasnetsov, I.I. Levitan, M.A. Vrubel and V. Serov.
