Day 1
Arriving in Barcelona. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Free time. Walking through the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas Street. Catalan-style dinner in the open-air museum “Spanish Village” * and the fascinating show of the Magic Fountain. Overnight.
Day 2
Breakfast. City tour of Barcelona with a visit to the Catalonia Square, Spanish Square, Montjuic hill, the Columbus Monument, the Port, Sagrada Familia, the Passeig de Gracia, Park Güell and other places of interest.
Day 3
Breakfast. Transfer by express train to the Basque Country (5.5 hours in the touristic trains). Arrival in San Sebastian and hotel accommodation. Walking tour: the statue of Christ on Monte – Urgull, the bay of La Concha, Miramar Palace, Palace of Congresses, port. Free time. Overnight.
Day 4
Breakfast. Excursion to Bilbao, the second largest city of the Basque Country and the largest port in Spain with charming historic quarter and ultra-avant-garde building of Modern Arts Museum of Guggenheim*. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5
Breakfast. Free time. Transfer to Santander, capital of Cantabria. A walking tour through the city center with a tour to the Magdalena Palace, the beach of El Sardinero. Spare time to rest. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6
Breakfast. Excursion to the charming town of Santillana del Mar, which grew around the Romanesque monastery of La Kolehiata and is currently under UNESCO protection. A visit to the seaside resort of Comillas with magnificent villas and Art Nouveau styled works of Antonio Gaudi, Martorell, Domenech and Muntaner. Return to Santander and moving on a fast train to Madrid (5 hours of way; touristic trains). Accommodation in a hotel Overnight.
Attention: a low-coster or the transfer by train in the morning of the7th day can replace the air flight
Day 7
Breakfast. Free time. Panoramic tour of the Gran Via (“The Main Street”), the Opera, the Royal Palace, Columbus and Spain squares, Puerta del Sol and the Retiro Park. Free time. An evening walk through the city center with a visit to a flamenco performance* with dinner. Overnight.
Day 8
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. End of the tour.
