From the Nativity to the Ascension : Bethlehem and Jerusalem’s Old City. Bethlehem*. One of the most ancient temples of the Holy Land – Church of the Nativity on the site of the birth of the Savior: The Cave of the Nativity, the Cave of St. Jerome, the miraculous icon of the Bethlehem Mother of God. Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Jewish Quarter: Wailing Wall – the greatest Jewish shrine where people are leaving notes asking for the Almighty. Muslim Quarter: panorama of the Temple Mount. “Dome of the Rock” and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
